How to Recognize a Good Rhinoplasty?

In this Hürriyet article, Prof. Dr. Suleyman Tas describes recovery as one of the final and most important stages of rhinoplasty. Most patients return to daily life 7 to 10 days after nose surgery. Avoiding blows to the nose, taking medication as the doctor advises, attending every follow-up visit and being patient while swelling and edema settle all affect the final result.

A Treatment Developed by a Turkish Doctor Enters the Medical Literature

Milliyet reported that a method Prof. Dr. Suleyman Tas had applied two years earlier was published in Archives of Plastic Surgery (APS). For a patient with facial burns, a new face was created from the patient’s own tissue by mimicking physiological pregnancy. He said that with this method, which uses the patient’s own tissue, face transplants may become a thing of the past. The patient, Fatma Albayrak, said: “When I look in the mirror, I look much better now. I’ve made peace with mirrors. Before, I couldn’t go out at all. Now I can.”
