Who is a candidate?

The procedure suits people whose outer brow and outer eye corner have dropped with age, people with a naturally low or flat lateral brow, and younger patients who want a lifted, elongated eye shape without a visible change in their identity. It is not a substitute for a facelift when the cheeks and jawline have also descended; in that case Prof. Dr. Suleyman Tas usually plans the temporal lift as one part of a deep plane facelift.

How the operation is performed

Two or three incisions of about two centimetres are made inside the hair above the temple. Working with an endoscope, Prof. Dr. Suleyman Tas releases the tissues over the temporal bone, lifts the lateral brow and the outer corner of the eye, and fixes the new position with absorbable anchors. If the forehead is also heavy, an endoscopic forehead lift is added through the same approach. Nano fat prepared from the patient’s own fat is then injected under the brow and in the temple to replace lost volume. Because the incisions are inside the hair, no visible scar is created.

Recovery

Swelling and mild bruising around the temples and eyes are normal for the first week. Most patients return to desk work after 7 to 10 days and to sport after three weeks. The stitches inside the hair are absorbable or removed at the first-week check. The lift settles into its final shape over about three months; the result of the lift itself is long-lasting, while the fat graft keeps the volume that survives in the first few months.

Fox eye lift versus threads and fillers

Thread lifts and fillers can mimic the fox eye shape for a few months, but they do not reposition the tissues and have to be repeated. An endoscopic temporal lift moves the brow and eye corner permanently and is combined with the patient’s own fat rather than synthetic filler.
