Handwritten patient letters – English transcriptions (1–25)
Between 2017 and 2021, patients of Prof. Dr. Süleyman Taş wrote 247 thank-you letters by hand in the guest book of his plastic surgery clinic in Istanbul. The original pages are shown as photographs in the gallery on this page. Every letter is transcribed below, translated into English where it was written in Turkish, French, Russian, German, Italian, Arabic, Chinese, Dutch or Kyrgyz. Surnames are shortened to initials for privacy; the wording is otherwise kept as close to the original as possible. Most letters are about rhinoplasty (nose surgery), including revision rhinoplasty, and some are about ear surgery (otoplasty), facial surgery, cleft lip and palate repair and non-surgical treatments.
