Video 2.8: Closed Atraumatic Rhinoplasty – Healing and Result, Case 1

What this video shows

Video 2.8 is one of three result videos (Videos 2.8–2.10) that close the chapter on closed atraumatic rhinoplasty. It documents the healing course and the outcome of a patient operated with the atraumatic philosophy: submembranous dissection, preservation and reshaping instead of excision, reconstruction of what has to be removed, and ligament-based redraping.

The book summarises the goal of this approach as a natural-looking, fast-healing, long-lasting, functional and highly aesthetic result, and the figures accompanying these videos include a thick-skinned patient who needed an alar excision and still recovered quickly. Watching the three cases together shows how consistently the technique behaves across different skin types and deformities.
