Case Study 8: Facelift, Neck Lift, Upper Blepharoplasty, Fox Eyes and Hand Rejuvenation

The patient's concerns

This patient travelled from Italy with a clear list: sagging cheeks, excess skin on the upper eyelids, wrinkles under the eyes, a double chin and a low radix (a low starting point of the nose between the eyes) that made the upper face look flat. She also wanted her hands, which often reveal age as clearly as the face, to look younger.

What was done

Facelift and neck lift

The descended cheek tissues were lifted in the deep layer and the neck was tightened, removing the double chin and redefining the jawline. Lifting the deeper structures rather than the skin keeps the expression natural. Learn more on the facelift page.

Upper blepharoplasty

Excess upper eyelid skin, fat and a small amount of muscle were removed, opening the eyes. The scar lies hidden in the natural eyelid crease. See blepharoplasty in Turkey.

Fox-eye lift

A minimally invasive fox-eye (cat-eye) lift elevated and elongated the outer corner of the eyes, giving a subtly lifted, almond-shaped look that complements the facelift.

Fat injection into the hands

With age the backs of the hands lose fat, so veins and tendons become prominent. The patient's own fat was transferred to the hands to restore soft volume and reduce the visibility of veins and tendons, so that her hands now match her refreshed face.

Why treat the hands?

Patients are often surprised by how much the hands give away. After facial rejuvenation, hands that look much older can break the overall effect. Fat grafting is a natural, long-lasting solution that uses the patient's own tissue and leaves no scars.

Result

The combined plan gave a firmer, more defined face and neck, rested, lifted eyes, softened under-eye wrinkles and youthful-looking hands, a coordinated rejuvenation from face to fingertips.

Frequently asked questions

Is hand fat grafting permanent?

Most of the fat that survives the first three months remains long term, although some patients choose a touch-up.

Does a fox-eye lift look artificial?

When done subtly and in harmony with the brows and face, it simply looks lifted and refreshed.

How long should I stay in Istanbul after this combination?

Plan for about 10–14 days for follow-up and stitch removal.

How long do facial rejuvenation results last?

A surgical lift typically holds for around a decade because it is carried by the deeper layer rather than the skin. Ageing continues, so sun protection, skin care and non-surgical maintenance still matter.

Where are the scars?

In the natural creases in front of and behind the ear and inside the hairline, placed so that hair and make-up cover them while they fade over the following months.

How long before I can be seen in public?

Swelling and bruising are most visible during the first ten days. Most patients feel comfortable in public after two to three weeks, and the contours keep refining over six to twelve months.
