In this article, we'll cover how sagging breasts can be lifted. First, why do breasts sag? Is there a non-surgical way? Let's take a detailed look. We hope you find it useful and enjoy reading.
Sagging breasts create a major problem for women. They cause discomfort in daily life, social situations, and work life alike. They lead to physical and psychological issues. They contribute to a lack of self-confidence in women. Not being able to wear the clothes you want may seem like a small thing, but it isn't a simple matter at all. Many lingerie brands make lifting and supportive bras for sagging breast structures. Thanks to these products, everything can look normal from the outside. But the real situation reveals itself once that lingerie comes off. Many women can't even bear to look in the mirror. As a result, this situation also causes unhappiness in their sex lives. So why do breasts sag?

Causes of Sagging Breasts
There can be many causes of breast sagging. Let's look at them one by one:
1. Genetic Factors: If your mother, grandmothers, aunts, or great-aunts have a sagging breast deformity, it's unfortunate but natural for you to have it too, genetically.
2. Frequent Weight Fluctuation: If you frequently gain and lose weight throughout your life, your breasts are the first area affected. Your skin won't be able to keep up with this repeated stretching and contracting, and unable to defy gravity, it will start to sag.
3. Skin Quality: If your skin has low quality and a loose structure, sagging in your breasts is inevitable.
4. Pregnancy: Hormonal changes in the body during pregnancy cause the breasts to enlarge. Since this growth adds weight, sagging can occur afterward.
5. Breastfeeding: Breastfeeding is one of the most significant contributors to breast sagging. The breast enlarges as it fills with milk, and afterward, as it empties, sagging occurs. If breastfeeding is experienced multiple times, sagging becomes inevitable.
6. Aging: As age advances and skin loses its elasticity, the breasts are again the first area to sag.
7. Wearing the Wrong Bra: Many people will be surprised to read this point. Yes, wearing a bra that doesn't suit your body type can contribute to breast sagging.
Breast sagging can occur when one or more of these factors come together. Unfortunately, there is no non-surgical solution. If you have sagging breasts, exercising, eating a balanced diet, and similar habits can help prevent further sagging, but we're sorry to say they cannot restore a firm, lifted breast shape. For that, you need to turn to surgical methods.
How Can Sagging Breasts Be Lifted? Surgical Methods
The specific procedure used for a sagging breast is determined by the patient's breast structure. If the sagging breast has also lost volume, it needs to be filled and supported with silicone implants or fat injections along with the lifting procedure.
There are generally 3 methods used for breast lift surgery:
Periareolar Method
This method is performed through the brown-colored area where the nipple is located. This area is called the areola. Incisions are made along the border where the areola ends and the surrounding skin begins. The breast lift is performed through these incisions, and the nipple-areola complex can be restored to its original position with sutures, or repositioned to match the other breast if asymmetry is present. With this technique, the scar is limited to the area around the nipple.
Vertical Method
In the vertical method, the lift is performed by making a vertical incision from below the nipple down to the lower part of the breast.
Inverted T Method
In the inverted T method, as the name suggests, the breast lift is performed by making an incision resembling an inverted T. Starting below the nipple, a vertical incision is made down to the lower breast fold, followed by a horizontal incision along the lower breast crease.

Breast lift and reshaping surgery can vary in duration depending on the technique used. It generally takes around 2 hours. It can be performed on anyone who is at least 18 years old and has no health problems that would prevent surgery. Quality rest after the surgery is extremely important.
