Tummy Tuck Cost in Turkey: Prices, What Is Included and What to Check

6 min read

Quick answer. A medical-travel marketplace that lists Turkish clinics shows tummy tuck packages from about $2,800 to $4,000 (Bookimed, 2026). The NHS puts a tummy tuck in the United Kingdom at about £5,000 to £10,000 plus consultation and follow-up fees (NHS, 2024), and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons gives a United States average of $8,174 before anesthesia and facility costs (ASPS, n.d.). The headline figure matters less than what it covers: the surgeon, the hospital, anesthesia, liposuction, the garment, nights in hospital and follow-up. At the Prof. Dr. Suleyman Tas Clinic the fee is quoted individually after your photographs or examination.

Key takeaways

  • A full tummy tuck, a mini tummy tuck and a tummy tuck with liposuction are different operations with different prices.

  • United Kingdom and United States quotes often list only the surgeon's fee; Turkish packages usually bundle hospital and anesthesia, so compare like with like.

  • Recovery is longer than for most cosmetic operations: the NHS advises about 4 to 6 weeks off work and exercise.

  • Massive weight loss, previous abdominal surgery and smoking all change the plan, the price and the risk.

  • Ask who operates, in which hospital, how many nights you stay and what happens if you need a revision after you fly home.

How much does a tummy tuck cost in Turkey?

Aggregated listings from Turkish clinics show tummy tuck packages typically from $2,800 to $4,000, with some packages starting around $3,900 depending on the clinic and what is bundled (Bookimed, 2026). For comparison, the NHS states that a tummy tuck in the United Kingdom costs from about £5,000 to £10,000, plus the cost of any consultations or follow-up care (NHS, 2024), and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons lists an average cost of $8,174 in the United States, noting that this excludes anesthesia, operating-room facilities and other related expenses (ASPS, n.d.).

At the Prof. Dr. Suleyman Tas Clinic, the fee is quoted individually after Prof. Dr. Tas has reviewed your photographs or examined you. A tummy tuck after 30 kg of weight loss that needs liposuction of the flanks and skin tightening is a different operation from a mini tummy tuck below the navel, and the price reflects that.

What changes the price?

  • Full or mini. A full tummy tuck removes skin above and below the navel, repairs separated abdominal muscles and repositions the navel. A mini tummy tuck treats only the lower abdomen and costs less.

  • Liposuction. Most tummy tucks today are combined with liposuction of the waist and flanks; VASER and laser-assisted liposuction add equipment time.

  • Skin tightening. Laser or radiofrequency tightening of the upper abdomen can be added in patients with loose but not excess skin.

  • After massive weight loss. Patients who have lost a large amount of weight often need an extended or circumferential tummy tuck, which takes longer and costs more. See tummy tuck after major weight loss.

  • Combined operations. A mommy makeover adds breast surgery to the tummy tuck in one session. See mommy makeover in Turkey.

  • Hospital and nights. A fully equipped hospital with an intensive care unit and one or two nights of stay cost more than a day-case clinic, and that difference is where safety lies.

What should be included in the quote?

  • Surgeon's fee, anesthesia and hospital or theatre fee

  • Nights in hospital and whether hotel and transfers are included

  • Liposuction, if planned, and the areas included

  • Compression garment, drains if used, medication and dressings

  • Follow-up visits in Istanbul and online follow-up after you return home

  • The clinic's policy and cost if a revision, such as a dog-ear correction, is needed

Ask for all of this in writing. A quote that lists only the surgeon's fee is not comparable with a package that includes the hospital.

How is a tummy tuck done at the Prof. Dr. Suleyman Tas Clinic?

Prof. Dr. Suleyman Tas combines the tummy tuck with VASER liposuction of the waist and flanks and, where the skin allows, laser skin tightening, so that the whole trunk is reshaped rather than only the front of the abdomen. The scar is placed low, so it sits below underwear and swimwear. In selected patients with loose skin but little excess, an endoscopic tummy lift with skin tightening can avoid the long scar altogether. Is it safe to have a tummy tuck in Turkey?

Safety depends on the surgeon, the hospital and the follow-up, not on the country. The NHS lists the risks of a tummy tuck as thick or noticeable scarring, bulges under the skin, dog ears at the ends of the scar, wounds that heal poorly, fluid or blood collections, numbness or pain, and, as with any operation, bleeding, blood clots and infection (NHS, 2024). Blood clots are the risk to take most seriously after abdominal surgery and long flights, so ask your surgeon about clot prevention and when you can fly.

Before booking anywhere, check that the surgeon is a board-certified plastic surgeon, that the operation is done in a hospital with an intensive care unit, and that there is a clear plan for follow-up after you return home.

What is recovery like?

The NHS advises about 4 to 6 weeks off work and exercise, no driving for a few weeks, a corset or compression garment for about six weeks, and sleeping with the knees bent at first to avoid straining the stitches; full recovery and the final result take about six weeks (NHS, 2024). Plan your stay in Istanbul so that drains, if used, are removed and the wound is checked before you are cleared to fly, and arrange help at home for the first week.

Contact your surgical team promptly if you develop a swollen, painful calf, shortness of breath, a fever, or increasing redness or discharge from the wound.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is a tummy tuck cheaper in Turkey?

Hospital, staff and facility costs are lower and the currency difference is large, so a package that bundles the surgeon, hospital and anesthesia can cost less than a surgeon's fee alone in the United Kingdom or United States. The standard depends on the individual surgeon and hospital, which is why you should check both before booking.

Does the price include liposuction?

Not always. Many Turkish packages include liposuction of the waist and flanks, but some list it separately. Ask for the areas to be included in writing, because a tummy tuck without liposuction of the sides can leave the waist looking wide.

How long do I need to stay in Istanbul after a tummy tuck?

Until drains, if used, are removed and your surgeon has checked the wound and cleared you to fly, which takes longer than for facial surgery. Your surgeon will give you an exact plan after examining you. Online follow-up continues after you return home.

Can I have a tummy tuck after losing a lot of weight?

Yes, and it is one of the most common reasons for the operation. After large weight loss the skin excess usually extends around the sides, so an extended tummy tuck with liposuction is often needed, and your weight should be stable for several months before surgery.

Will the tummy tuck scar be visible?

The scar runs low across the abdomen, so it is hidden by underwear and swimwear, and it fades over 12 to 18 months. In selected patients with loose skin but little excess, an endoscopic tummy lift with skin tightening can avoid the long scar.
