Does breast silicone cause cancer?
Breast implants from a reliable brand do not carry a cancer risk. There have been many claims suggesting that breast implants are linked to breast cancer, but these remain unproven. Breast implant products manufactured with today's technology are safe for human health. Once placed, there is usually no need to replace them again after a certain period. However, the breast implants used 20-30 years ago could not be manufactured to the same health standards due to the technology of that era, and they needed to be replaced after a certain period. It was the use of these older implants, and the failure to replace them in time, that could threaten health and raise the concerns people fear. The implants used today are designed to remain safely in the body for a lifetime, so there is no need to replace them after 10 or 20 years.
Can There Be an Allergic Reaction to Breast Implants?
The silicone material used in breast implants is also found in many everyday products, such as deodorants, soaps, hand creams, sunscreens, processed foods, and even chewing gum. Silicone is one of the materials least likely to cause an allergic reaction in the body, which is one of the main reasons it is preferred for breast implants. Allergic reactions to silicone are rare but can occur. If you have an allergic condition, you should be sure to discuss this with your doctor. If your allergy is manageable, there is usually nothing to worry about. However, if your allergy is severe, your doctor will not approve the surgery for your own safety. A severe allergic condition can cause a reaction not only to the breast implant itself, but also to the anesthesia medications used during surgery or medications used afterward, which could put your health at risk.
Does Sagging Occur with Silicone Breasts?
Breast silicone implants are used to give the breast more fullness and volume. Because implants do not dissolve or shrink once placed in the breast, they do not cause sagging on their own.
Does Breast Lift Surgery Correct Sagging Breasts?
If breast tissue alone cannot provide sufficient projection, a small silicone implant may help. In other words, silicone implants are used for cosmetic purposes in both breast augmentation and breast lift surgeries. The silicone used in breast aesthetics allows the breast to achieve both a fuller and firmer appearance.
Can a Silicone Breast Be Felt? Does It Change Shape or Burst Under Pressure?
With the types of silicone used today, it cannot be felt whether an implant is present. It is unlikely to change shape or rupture unless it sustains a very significant impact.
Can a Silicone Breast Be Distinguished from a Natural Breast Structure?
Thanks to today's submuscular silicone placement technique, a silicone breast cannot be distinguished from a natural breast structure.
Can You Swim in the Sea After Getting Silicone Implants?
After getting silicone implants, it is recommended not to shower for the first 3 days. The first week is a critical period, and the dressing process may take 7-14 days. Showering is allowed during this time, but you should not go into the sea or a pool.
Does Silicone Prevent Breastfeeding?
Silicone implants are placed either beneath the breast tissue, without touching it, or even deeper, under the chest (pectoral) muscle. Since the surgery does not involve any procedure on the breast tissue itself, there is no effect on breastfeeding after pregnancy.
