Video 4.19: Blinking Nose Deformity – Botulinum Toxin When the Transversalis Nasalis Muscle Is Responsible

Not every blinking nose deformity is treated surgically. Video 4.19 shows a case in which the transversalis nasalis muscle was responsible for the rhythmic movement of the tip, and a botulinum toxin injection was preferred as treatment. The video documents the diagnosis of the responsible muscle and the effect of the injection.

This case complements the surgical treatment of the dilator naris anterior muscle shown in Videos 4.17 and 4.18, and it demonstrates that the choice of treatment depends on which muscle is contracting.
