For those who want breast aesthetics but are afraid of surgery, breast filler application is one solution. Breast filler (Aquafilling) is not a surgical operation. It falls into the category of non-surgical aesthetic procedures.

In Which Cases Is Aquafilling Breast Filler Used?

  • To correct breast asymmetry

  • For breast augmentation

  • To treat developmental disorders of the breast

  • For buttock augmentation

  • For bow-leg deformity

Aquafilling is not applied only to the breast area; it is also used in the areas listed above. When used as a breast filler, it enlarges the breast beyond its current size, so breast reduction cannot be performed with it. It is also not sufficient for lifting sagging breasts. You may think that a sagging breast will become firmer once it is filled from the inside, but the result is not as desired. If Aquafilling is applied to a sagging breast, the breast becomes even heavier and droops further due to the effect of gravity.

How Is Aquafilling Performed?

General anesthesia is not required for Aquafilling. The area to be treated is numbed locally. The procedure uses its own special cannulas, through which the filler material is injected according to the needs of the treated area. Since it is performed under local anesthesia, no hospital stay is required. It does not require an operating room and can be performed in a clinic setting. If desired, you can return to work the same day or the next day, and an immediate return to social life is possible.

After the procedure, some redness and mild swelling at the cannula entry points and due to the filling effect are to be expected. All of these complaints disappear within a few days.

Is Aquafilling Harmful?

Like other filler materials, the Aquafilling substance is designed to be compatible with human health. The procedure has no known harm. However, if you have an allergic constitution, caution is necessary. Your body may react defensively to the filler material, and allergic problems may arise. If you have allergies, you must inform your doctor.

How Long Does Aquafilling Last?

This filler application lasts 1–2 years in the short term and 5–8 years in the long term.

What Are the Advantages of Aquafilling?

  • It is performed under local anesthesia.

  • It is a non-surgical procedure.

  • You can return to work and social life even on the same day.

  • It is not a painful procedure.

  • Its effect can be seen immediately.

  • It is more affordable than surgical procedures.

What Are the Disadvantages of Aquafilling?

  • It is not a permanent method.

  • When the filler begins to dissolve, it cannot all dissolve at the same time, which causes asymmetries.

Our clinical view on Aquafilling is that we do not recommend this procedure. Despite its advantages, it has serious disadvantages. Because it is not permanent and will lead to serious asymmetry problems in later years, our firm recommendation is in favor of surgical intervention.
