Case Study 1: Scarless Facelift, Brow Lift, Eyelid Surgery and Revision Rhinoplasty in One Plan
Updated: Oct 3
Case summary
Patient: 47-year-old woman from Australia
Procedures: scarless facelift and neck lift, eyebrow lift, blepharoplasty, fox-eye lift, revision rhinoplasty
Surgeon: Prof. Dr. Suleyman Tas, Prof. Dr. Suleyman Tas Clinic, Istanbul
Goal: a rested, naturally younger face and a straight, balanced nose, achieved in a single coordinated plan

The patient's concerns
This patient travelled from Australia with two groups of concerns. The first was facial ageing: rounded, lowered eyebrows, a sagging mid-face and jawline, hollows under the eyes, heavy upper eyelids and a loose neck. The second was her nose, which had been operated on before: it was asymmetric, still carried a dorsal hump, looked flat, and the tip no longer matched the rest of the nose. Treating only one of these problems would have left the face out of balance, so Prof. Dr. Tas designed a single plan addressing the whole face.
Why a combined plan
The nose sits in the centre of the face and the eyes and brows frame it. Rejuvenating the face while leaving an asymmetric, flat nose, or refining the nose inside a tired face, rarely gives a harmonious result. Combining the procedures also meant one anaesthesia, one recovery period and one trip to Istanbul, which matters a great deal for international patients.
What was done
Scarless facelift and neck lift
The sagging cheeks, jawline and neck were lifted using Prof. Dr. Tas's minimally invasive, "scarless" approach, in which the deeper tissues are repositioned through very small, hidden access points rather than long incisions in front of the ears. Scarring is minimal, recovery is shorter and the result looks natural rather than pulled. Learn more on the facelift page.
Eyebrow lift and fox-eye lift
Lowered, rounded brows make a face look tired or sad. The brows were lifted and their tail elevated to open the eyes, and the fox-eye technique created a subtly lifted, almond-shaped outer eye.
Blepharoplasty
Excess upper eyelid skin was removed and the under-eye hollows were addressed so that the eyes look fresh and rested. See blepharoplasty in Turkey.
Revision rhinoplasty
Secondary rhinoplasty is more demanding than a first operation because of scar tissue and previously altered cartilage. Here the nose was straightened, the remaining hump was removed, the flat dorsum was given better definition and the tip was reshaped to belong to the rest of the nose. Read more about revision rhinoplasty.
Result
The combined surgery produced a unified, balanced face: lifted brows and open eyes, a firmer jawline and neck, and a straight nose with a tip that matches the dorsum. The visuals in this case show how precise and natural the change is: she looks like herself, only rested and refreshed.
Recovery for a combined procedure
Patients having facial rejuvenation and rhinoplasty together typically stay in Istanbul for 10–14 days. The nasal splint comes off at one week, eyelid stitches at five to seven days, and most bruising settles within two to three weeks. Final facial results are seen at three to six months and the nose continues to refine for a year.
Frequently asked questions
Is it safe to combine a facelift and rhinoplasty?
In a healthy patient and an accredited hospital, yes. The total operating time is planned carefully, and combining avoids a second anaesthesia.
Is revision rhinoplasty harder than primary rhinoplasty?
Yes. Scar tissue and missing cartilage require experience and sometimes cartilage grafts.
How long does a scarless facelift last?
Results age naturally with you; most patients enjoy a clearly younger appearance for many years.
