Case Study 9: Scarless Rhinoplasty with Scarless Facelift and Neck Lift for a Youthful Face
Updated: Oct 3
Case summary
Patient: 37-year-old woman from Australia
Procedures: closed (scarless) rhinoplasty, scarless facelift, scarless neck lift, temporal lift, upper blepharoplasty, fat injections, CO2 laser
Surgeon: Prof. Dr. Suleyman Tas, Prof. Dr. Suleyman Tas Clinic, Istanbul
Goal: a straight, refined nose and a naturally younger face in one trip

The patient's concerns
This patient had two sets of concerns. Her nose had a dorsal hump, was crooked, had a droopy tip and a wide base. Her face and neck had begun to sag, and she wanted to look more youthful without an operated appearance. She preferred approaches that leave no visible scars.
What was done
Scarless (closed) rhinoplasty
In closed rhinoplasty all incisions are made inside the nostrils, so there is no external scar. The hump was removed, the crooked nose was brought to the midline, the droopy tip was lifted and refined and the wide base was narrowed, creating a nose that suits her face. Prof. Dr. Tas's closed, atraumatic approach preserves tissue, which reduces swelling and speeds recovery. See the rhinoplasty page.
Scarless facelift and neck lift
Minimally invasive lifting through small, hidden access points repositioned the sagging tissues of the face and neck without the long incisions of traditional techniques. Learn more on the facelift page.
Temporal lift
Lifting the outer brow and temple area opened the eyes and gave the upper face a refreshed look.
Upper blepharoplasty
Excess skin, fat and muscle were removed from the upper eyelids to eliminate heaviness. See blepharoplasty in Turkey.
Fat injections and CO2 laser
The patient's own fat restored volume where it had been lost, and fractional CO2 laser resurfacing improved skin texture, fine lines and tone.
Why combine rhinoplasty with facial rejuvenation?
The nose is the centre of facial balance. Correcting it together with lifting the face creates harmony that neither procedure achieves alone, and the patient benefits from a single anaesthesia and one recovery period.
Result
The patient achieved the result she wanted: a straight, elegant nose with a lifted tip, a firmer face and neck, and refreshed eyes and skin, all with no visible scars.
Frequently asked questions
Does closed rhinoplasty leave any scar?
No external scar. All incisions are inside the nose.
Can a crooked nose be fixed with closed rhinoplasty?
Yes. In experienced hands, closed rhinoplasty can correct crookedness, humps and tip problems.
How long is recovery after combined surgery?
The nasal splint comes off after a week; most patients are socially comfortable at two to three weeks.
Next step

How long do facial rejuvenation results last?
A surgical lift typically holds for around a decade because it is carried by the deeper layer rather than the skin. Ageing continues, so sun protection, skin care and non-surgical maintenance still matter.
Where are the scars?
In the natural creases in front of and behind the ear and inside the hairline, placed so that hair and make-up cover them while they fade over the following months.
How long before I can be seen in public?
Swelling and bruising are most visible during the first ten days. Most patients feel comfortable in public after two to three weeks, and the contours keep refining over six to twelve months.
