We've prepared this week's article for rhinoplasty patients from abroad, people already living outside Turkey who are planning to come, or considering coming, for the surgery.

Thanks to its expert, highly trained doctors, hospitals with high healthcare standards, safe treatment options, and easy accessibility from anywhere in the world, Turkey ranks among the top 10 countries recognized globally as a healthcare hub. Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery in particular sees enormous demand from abroad.

For patients who travel from abroad for rhinoplasty, we're able to work just as efficiently and smoothly as we do with patients living in or outside Istanbul. Before and after rhinoplasty, every patient goes through detailed examination steps, stage by stage. For patients coming from within Turkey, these stages are listed below;

* Pre-Operative Consultation 1

This consultation is essentially the introductory meeting between doctor and patient before surgery. The doctor determines whether the patient is a suitable candidate for rhinoplasty. The patient's medical suitability is assessed, and they are informed about their aesthetic and functional deformities and the interventions and preparations needed to correct them, before moving on to the next stage.

* Pre-Operative Consultation 2

This consultation is a more detailed discussion between the doctor and the patient who has been cleared for rhinoplasty, covering everything that will be done during the operation. The patient's deformities and what can be done about them are discussed in full detail, and a simulation is prepared. Once everything has been discussed, a surgery date is set and the hospital reservation is made.

* Pre-Operative Consultation 3

This consultation covers the blood tests and other procedures required before surgery. The patient goes to the hospital, meets with the anesthesiologist, and completes whatever tests the anesthesiologist requires.

* Pre-Operative Consultation 4

This consultation takes place a few days before surgery. It's the patient's final meeting with the doctor before the operation.

After Rhinoplasty: The Process for Patients From Abroad

Rhinoplasty patients come in for follow-up checks 1 week, 2 months, and 1 year after surgery.

For patients coming from abroad, this process has been made significantly easier. The dedicated process created for patients from abroad is as follows;

* Our clinic staff hold a detailed phone consultation with the patient coming from abroad. We ask the patient for a video along with all the relevant details. This allows a virtual examination to take place between the patient and the doctor.

* Once the virtual examination clears the patient for surgery, a surgery date is set, and a detailed in-person examination appointment is also scheduled for a few days before the operation.

* At the scheduled examination appointment, the patient's nasal deformities, every detail of the operation, and the simulation are discussed in person. The patient then meets with the anesthesiologist and completes whatever tests the anesthesiologist requires.

* The patient, whose surgery date was set in advance, undergoes the operation a few days after this detailed consultation.

* After a follow-up check 1 week after surgery, the patient is able to return to their home country. Setting aside a total of about 10 days is enough.

* Follow-up checks are then scheduled at 2 months and 1 year after surgery. For patients who can't return in person, a video is always requested to track their recovery.

Thanks to this dedicated program, it's easier than ever for anyone coming from abroad who wants rhinoplasty.
