What is simulation in rhinoplasty?
The word simulation comes from the Latin for "imitation". In rhinoplasty it means creating an image of how your nose could look after surgery, based on your own photographs. Think of it as the menu before a meal: it sets expectations and makes the decision concrete. For most patients the greatest anxiety before a nose job is not the operation itself but the fear of not recognising themselves afterwards. How is rhinoplasty simulation performed?

What simulation can and cannot promise
Simulation shows a possible result. It cannot account for how your skin will shrink, how cartilage will heal or how swelling will settle over a year. Thick skin in particular will never show the definition that can be drawn on a screen. For this reason:
