Hospital, staffing and living costs are lower, the exchange rate favours international patients, and surgeons who operate on high volumes of facial surgery work efficiently. Hospital and operating theatre charges for a licensed hospital, not an office procedure room.

Hospital nights with nursing observation; one night is standard for a full face and neck lift.

Istanbul clinics that market abroad often advertise an all-inclusive package: surgery, hotel, transfers and follow-up for one figure. A package is convenient and, from a reputable practice, perfectly legitimate. The risk is that a package hides what it does not contain. Before accepting one, ask for the same package written as a list, with the surgeon's name, the hospital's name, the technique, the number of hospital nights and the number of hotel nights each on their own line. If the clinic cannot or will not do this, that is the answer.

An itemised quotation from a surgeon-led practice usually looks more expensive at first glance because it shows the hospital and anaesthesia lines that a package folds into a headline figure. Once both are written the same way, the difference is often smaller than the advertising suggests, and sometimes it reverses.

Medical travel platforms list Turkey facelift prices as wide ranges. Flymedi's 2026 listing for a deep plane facelift in Turkey, for example, shows treatment-only prices from roughly €3,900 to €8,000 across the clinics on its platform. Ranges this wide are not a sign that someone is overcharging; they reflect that a mini facelift, a SMAS facelift and a full deep plane face and neck lift are being listed under one heading, by clinics with very different hospital arrangements and surgeon experience.

Most Istanbul practices ask for a deposit at booking and the balance before surgery, usually by bank transfer or card. Ask which currency the quotation is fixed in and for how long it is valid, whether card payments carry a surcharge, and what the refund terms are if you have to postpone for a medical reason. Keep every document; medical travel insurers and, occasionally, tax authorities ask for them.
